Parkersburg Sentinel 3-5-1912: Mrs. Mary A. Adcock, An Aged Resident of the County and City, Died Here Sunday Morning. After an illness of two years,Mrs. Mary A. Adcock, and aged and estimable resident of this city, died early Sunday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. F. M. Truman, where she had been staying for some time.
Mrs. Adcock had been a resident of the county and the city of sixty-five years, having been born in Pruntytown seventy-four years ago, and was the granddaughter of David Prunty, one of the pioneer settlers in that section of the state. She came to this county with her parents, when nine years of age and has since been a resident here, highly esteemed and respected by all who knew her. She was an ardent and consistent member of the M. E. church, south for a number of years.
Mrs. Adcock is survived by the following children; Miss Sallie V. Adcock, a teacher in the public schools, Frederick Adcock, both of this city; G. W. Adcock and Mrs. L. L. Taylor of Akron, Ohio, Mrs. F. M. Truman and Thomas E. Quinn of this city and Charles Quinn of Morgantown. A Sister, Mrs. Henry Horn, of Lancaster, Ohio, also survives.
The funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Truman, and will be conducted by Rev. G. W. Banks of St. Paul's M. E. Church. Interment will be at Mt. Olivet cemetery.
