Died between 1900 and 1908 as his wife, Eliza Ellen, married Jacob B. Smith in 1908. Levi Marion Brookshire was living in Polk County, GA according to the 1900 census.

Levi Marion Brookshire was originally buried at the Easonville Methodist Church Cemetery in Easonville, St. Clair County, Alabama, in an unmarked grave. When the Logan Martin Dam was constructed, some of the graves were relocated and others were left in place when the area was flooded. Families who could be identified and located were contacted about the situation and given information about what to do. Levi's grave was one of two unmarked graves which were identified at the time. I am unsure if Levi Marion Brookshire's grave was one of those relocated. I believe someone in the family told me that his son Monroe Brookshire was the family member contacted, but I have no confirmation of this at this time. Information about this can be found at these link: https://www.newspapers.com/image/555284566/?terms=%22Levi%20Brookshire%22&match=1 and

Note: The information about Levi Marion Brookshire and Sarah/Sallie Casey Stokes' marriage is problematic. If the dates on Sarah Stokes' memorial is correct, she lived until 1923. Levi Marion Brookshire married Eliza Ellen Brookshire in 1898 in St. Clair County, Alabama. If the information on Sarah/Sallie Stokes' memorial is correct, then the marriages would have overlapped making Levi a bigamist, or there would have had to be a divorce between Levi Marion Brookshire and Sallie Casey Stokes. Divorce records have not been found. There is a marriage record for a Levi M. Brookshire and a Sarah Casey in Cherokee County, Georgia in 1888. Is this Levi M. Brookshire the same man as Levi Marion Brookshire? If Levi Marion Brookshire was married to a Sallie Casey, perhaps the link between the memorials is linking the wrong Sallie Casey to Levi's memorial?? There are some discrepancies here that need to be cleared up.
