John Cowan died Tuesday night at the home of his son, Charles Cowan, in Veedersburg, from infirmities of old age. Mr. Cowan was 80 years of age and before going to Veedersburg to make his home with his son, lived near Yountsville where he owned a large farm. He is survived by his wife and two sons, Charles, of Veedersburg and John, of Howard, Ind. The body was taken to Waynetown Thursday for burial.
