Nicholas G. Brooks, age 90, a resident of Northland Lodge, Two Rivers, died Monday October 20, 2014.

Nicholas was born July 11, 1924 in Chicago, IL, a son of the late Charles and Katherine (Breitbach) Brooks. He graduated from Lincoln High School in Manitowoc in 1942, and served with the U.S. Naval Air Corps during World War II. Nicholas married the former Lois Roehl in 1949 at Waukegan, IL. She preceded him in death in 1974. Nick worked for many years at Kelvinator in Manitowoc until his retirement. He loved the outdoors, and was an avid sportsman who loved hunting and fishing; he was also a lifetime member of the N.R.A.

He is survived by one brother & sister-in-law, Angelus and Bronwen Brooks of Manitowoc; one half brother, John Adams of Green Bay; along with several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law & mother-in-law, William and Anna Roehl; three brothers, Peter, James, and William Brooks; and a niece, Cheryl Luther.

A memorial service for Nick will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at Calvary Chapel Mausoleum, 2601 S. 14th St., Manitowoc. Rev. Tom Reynebeau will officiate at the service, with burial to follow in the Calvary Cemetery. Military graveside rites will be accorded immediately following the service by members of the Amvet Post #99 of Manitowoc.

The family will greet friends and relatives prior to the service on Tuesday, from 12:30 until 1:00 p.m. at Calvary Chapel Mausoleum.
