Thomas A. Burge, 66 years, of North Porter street, died Monday, July 25, 1960, in Greene County Memorial Hospital. He was a son of William and Mary Ellen Smith Burge, and was born December 1, 1894, in Jackson Township. On September 14, 1920, he was united in marriage with Irene Funk. Mr. Burge was a former postal carrier having retired in 1951, a member of the First Christian Church, James Farrell Post No. 330, American Legion; Greene County Voiture No. 1040, 40 et 8; Waynesburg Eagles, No 498, and Waynesburg Moose Lodge No. 461. He had served in Company K, during the first World War. Surviving are his wife; one son, James A. Burge of Houston, Texas; two grandchildren, and one sister, Mary Alice.
