NILES – William Sherman Cline, 84, of 528 Dakota Ave., died of a stroke at 7:13 a.m. Saturday in Trumbull Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Cline was born Feb. 2, 1907, in Elliott County, KY., a son of Billie and Lizzie Mullens Cline, coming in this area from Kentucky in 1948.

He worked at Standard Slag in Lordstown for 24 years, retiring in 1972.

He was a member of Mineral Ridge Apostolic Assembly.
He is survived by his wife, the former Agnes Johnson, whom he married on July 4, 1928; four daughters, Mrs. Pauline Humphrey and Mrs. Alice Campbell of Mineral Ridge, Mrs. Evelyn Bouts and Mrs. Ruth Green of Niles, a son, Thomas of Mineral Ridge, a brother, Haskell of Lawton, KY.; 20 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.

A daughter, Mrs. Georgia Carpenter; three sisters, Mrs. Zelpha Brown, Mrs. Cora Johnson, and Miss Della Cline; and seven brothers, Leo, Charlie, Ed, Leonard, Everett, Clyde, and Billie, preceded him in death.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Mineral Ridge Apostolic Assembly Church. Burial will be in Kerr Cemetery, Niles.
Friends may call Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home.
