Resident of Town of Busti for 78 Years Dies at Home on Busti-Sugar Grove Road.
Charles F. Curtis, for 78 years, a resident of the town of Busti, died Sunday morning at 11:30 o'clock at his home on the Busti-Sugar Grove road, aged 83 years.
He was born at Stockton, Aug. 31, 1853, and was the last surviving member of the family of David Henry and Lucinda Jones Curtis. At the age of five years, his parents moved to the home in which he died. He was a charter member of Busti Grange.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Fern Walker of Busti; a son, Roy Curtis, Busti; five grandchildren, Clare, Donald, Roy, Jr., C. Allen and Pearl Curtis; two great grandchildren, Russell and Gene Curtis; and a sister-in-law, Miss Ella Devereaux, of Union City, Pa. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the home, with interment in Busti cemetery.
