nyshistoricnewspapers.org SULLIVAN COUNTY RECORD, Jeffersonville, NY Mar 13 1924 pg 3: James Cornwell, a resident of Cochecton Center for many years, died at BInghamton on March 1, following an operation in September for cancer of the stomach, performed at the Binghamton City Hospital.
He had been residing at the Y M C A in that city, but when his affliction became serious he was taken to the hospital.
He was born in Barryville.
He was married twice. 1st wife Hannah White of Port Jervis and 2nd wife MRs Florence Seipp of Baltimore.
A brother, Robert of West Chester PA., and 2 sisters Harriet Cornwell of Port Jervis and Mrs Helen Little of Elmira are his only immediate survivors.
Body taken to Port Jervis for burial.
