Mabel Jean Jones Sosbe, age 67, of Cynthiana, Kentucky, died Saturday, October 18, 2014, at Harrison Memorial Hospital, in Cynthiana. Born in Fleming County, Kentucky, on April 21, 1947, to the late William Clyde and Ada Mae Blanton Jones, she was a certified nursing assistant, an avid bowler and a member of Saint James African Methodist Episcopal Church and the Cynthiana Homemakers.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by: her husband, Felix Darell Sosbe; two brothers, William "Billy" Jones and Clyde "Tom" Jones; and a sister, Mary Katherine Hamm. She is survived by: a son, Darell Scott Sosbe, of Cynthiana; a daughter, Felicia (Ricky) Beverly, of Cynthiana; three brothers, Clarence "Colonel" Jones, of Indiana, and James "Jimmy" (Brenda) Jones and John "Bob" Jones, both of Flemingsburg; two sisters, Elizabeth "Betty" Hill, of Pennsylvania, and Anna Florence (Kelly) Dyer, of Fleming County; three grandchildren, Jermoy Tyler Beverly, Michael Todd (Holly) Beverly and Colton Scott Sosbe; two great-grandchildren, Carson Tyler Beverly and Korie Brooke Beverly; and a special friend, Judy Gayle Harney, of Cynthiana.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at Ware Funeral Home by Rev. Antonio Stuckey. Visitation will be from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will be at Battle Grove Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Saint James African Methodist Episcopal Church, in care of Lois Gross, P.O. Box 776, Cynthiana, Kentucky 41031. Active pallbearers will be Charles Tucker, Jr., James Theodore Adams, Todd Jones, Colton Sosbe, Jeromy Beverly and Michael Beverly. Honorary pallbearers will be Clarence "Colonel" Jones, James "Jimmy" Jones, John "Bob" Jones, Larry Sosbe, Doug Harney, Brett Steward Sosbe and Tom Adams.
