John P. Kehoe, 68, of Waterloo, died Sunday, June 9, at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home.

He was born November 4, 1944 in Waterloo, son of John and Eunice Connell Kehoe. He married Nancy Pavelka July 19, 1969 in Traer.

John was employed with Waterloo Industries for 30 years, retiring in 2000. He was a U.S. Army veteran.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Jennifer (Ian) Goodkind of Chanhassen, Minn.; two granddaughters, Gabriela and Hayden; three brothers, Jerome (Pauline), and Justin (Rita) all of Waterloo and Joseph (Cathy) of Wis.; four sisters, Margaret McKinstry and Carmen (Mark) Skyles, all of Waterloo; Monica (James) Artes of Decorah and Melanie Jensen of Ariz. and many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his parents and a brother, James.

A memorial service will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Hagarty – Waychoff – Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway where full military rites will be conducted by Waterloo Amvets Post 19 and Evansdale Amvets Post 31. Inurnment in Fort Snelling National Cemetery, St. Paul, Minn. at a later date. Public visitation will be from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home and also for an hour before services on Saturday.
