Musician. Athon was the bass player in the "swamp metal" power trio, Tusk, from Savannah, Georgia, which formed in 2005, the year they released their first demo, 'Demos and the Demons', and the album, 'When Kingdoms Fall'. They went on to record the albums and EPs 'The Fallen Kingdom' (2007), 'Passage Through Purgatory' (2008), 'Taste the Sin' (2010), 'Set the Dial (2011), 'Tend No Wounds' (2013) and 'Vulture's Eye' (2014). Athon died from injuries suffered from a motorcycle accident after being placed in a medically-induced coma. Life support was discontinued after it was determined that he had irreparable brain damage.
