US Congressman. A member of the Democratic Party, he served the State of California's 17th Congressional District in the United States House of Representatives from 1975 until 1979. Born into a Jewish family, he was raised in Palestine and dropped out of high school to work as a diamond cutter. He moved to the United States at the age of twenty, when he enrolled at the University of California in Berkeley. Krebs became an American citizen and was lated stationed in Germany during his service with the United States Army. Upon returning home, he attained his Law degree from Hastings Law School in San Francisco and commenced practicing. He resumed following his terms in Congress.
