ORA BOONE WOODY
BAKERSVILLE-Ora Boone Woody, 83 of Woody Hills Lane, Rebels Creek, died Friday, November 16,2001 at the Brian Center of Spruce Pine. She was the daughter of the late James and Bessie Willis Boone, and wife of the late Joe Andrew Woody. A member of Rebels Creek Baptist Chruch, she had been employed by Robbins Knitiing Mill and Bell Hoisery.
Survivors include a son, Jim Woody of Rebles Creek; four sisters, Viola Willis, of Rebels Creek, and Jennie Griffith, Effie Swann, and Emma Lou Wilson, all of Spruce Pine; one brother, Homer Boone of Rebels Creek, one grandchild; two great grandchildren, and one step grandchild.
Graveside services were held at 2pm Sunday at Rebels Creek Cemetery. Henline-Hughes, Funeral Home in Bakersville was in charge of arrangements. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Mitchell County, P.O.Box 38, Spruce Pine, NC.28777.
