Virginia Atkinson Weber Virginia (nee VanDerhyden) Atkinson Weber, 102, of Naperville passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 15, 2009 at the Community Convalescent Center. Virginia was born on March 12, 1907 in Sandwich, IL to Louis and Jessie VanDerhyden. She married Virgil Atkinson of Ohio, IL in 1923. They had four children and moved to Naperville in the early 1930's, first living on Wright Street and then moving to their family home on Fourth Street. Virgil passed away just after Christmas in 1936. In 1940, Virginia married Charles Weber, originally from Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada. Charlie and Virginia were happily married for 47 years. Charlie passed away in September 1987. Despite being a widow with four small children at the height of the Great Depression, Virginia was a meticulous homemaker and kept her rambling house clean and beautiful. She was very proud of her home and lived there well into 90's. Virginia was preceded in death by her son Ralph Anderson in 1957 and her son Ronald Atkinson (a former Naperville Police officer) in 2009. She is survived by her son Everett "Bill" Atkinson of St. Petersburg, FL and her daughter Patricia Starkey of Jefferson, WI. She has 21 grandchildren and a large, ever-increasing number of great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Visitation and a funeral service will be held at the Beidelman-Kunsch Funeral Home, 516 S. Washington St., Naperville, IL, Wednesday, November 18th 2009 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 12:00 noon.
