He had resided in the Taft and Bakersfield areas for the past 20 years and had been the trucking foreman for Hopper Steel Company until his health forced him to retire. He is survived by three daughters Crystal Vela, Donna Stroup, and Carolyn McKellar; a son Dennis Stroup; two sisters Doris Beiber and Betty Veit; five grandsons; three granddaughters; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
