ATTLEBORO – Eugene P. Mondor, 80, of Attleboro passed away on April 12, 2014 at Home & Hospice Care of Rhode Island with his loving wife Genevieve Mondor at his side.
Born November 11, 1933 in Attleboro, he was a son of the late Arthur Sr. and Mary Mondor.
Eugene was raised and educated in Attleboro and was a 1953 graduate of Attleboro High School. In 1956 he enlisted in the United States Army and proudly served his country. Eugene was employed at Balfour for 38 years as a diamond setter. He loved playing golf.
In addition to his wife, Eugene is survived by a daughter, Donna Procopio of Rehoboth; a son, Michael P. Mondor of Rehoboth; four grandchildren, Nicholas and Johnathan Procopio and Lindsay and Evan Mondor all of Rehoboth; a brother, Arthur Mondor Jr. of Attleboro; a sister-in-law, Helen DiResto of Norton and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation has been respectfully omitted.
A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, April 25, 2014 at 10 a.m. in Our Lady Queen of Martyrs, Coyle Drive, Seekonk. Burial will take place at a later date.
