Oscar graduated from Brighton High School in 1944 and was drafted into the Navy, where he served as an Ensign and graduated from Officer School in Moscow, ID, and served in the Atlantic and the Panama Canal. After his discharge, he received a degree in Mechanical Engineering from University of Colorado. He and Dorothy were married in June of 1950 in Brighton. A lifetime resident of Brighton, Oscar worked for Public Service Company of Colorado for 30 years, retiring in 1986 as the Vice President of Production. In his spare time, he enjoyed reading, playing golf, genealogy and spending time with his grandchildren. Survivors included: children Debra Hansen of Boyers, PA, Cindy (Steve) Willford of Blackfoot, ID and Andy Lee of Brighton; sister Virginia Knudsen of Ft. Collins; and 14 grandchildren. Memorial Services held November 30 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1454 Myrtle Street, Brighton. Tabor-Rice Funeral Home handled the arrangements
