Homicide Hearing Is Continued
MANITOWOC—Preliminary hearing for William T. Hinds, 24, of Chicago, Ill., has been continued until 9 a.m. Nov. 5 by Manitowoc County Judge Harold W. Mueller. Judge Mueller said the hearing was continued in order to allow Dist. Atty. Robert E. Koutnik more time to arrange for the appearance of several witnesses from the Chicago area. Hinds remains free on $5,000 bail.

Scott Jacobson, son of Mrs. Marianne Jacobson who resides at Manitowoc, was pronounced dead at a Chicago
hospital July 8 after being removed from Hinds’ apartment. A report by the Cook County coroner’s office indicated that the boy died from complications resulting from a beating allegedly administered by Hinds with a belt strap in Manitowoc earlier.
