Eileen Joyce "Tony" Newton was born on October 9, 1931, in York, Nebraska, to Anton and Barbara (Wilhelm) Gardner. Known as Tony to her friends, she married Jack Newton in October 1950, after which they moved to Hastings, Nebraska. They journeyed to Portland, Oregon, a few years later, where they began their family with the arrival of sons Jeff and Bryan. In 1976, the family moved to Milwaukie, Oregon.
Eileen passed away on November 1, 2014, at home in the loving care of her husband. She is predeceased by her parents and sister, Barbara Jean. Eileen is survived by Jack Newton, her husband of 65 years, sons, Jeff and Bryan, 5 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild. She loved and was loved so much by the people in her life. We miss her very much.
