He lived in DeSoto, Missouri for most of his adult life with his wife Patricia and their children. He worked as a print setter/corrugator at Gaylord Container until his retirement. On September 19, 1953 he was united in marriage to Patricia Ann (Everhart) Womack in the Assembly of God Church at Van Buren, Missouri, by Brother Love. Survivors include three sons, Donald (Barbara) Womack of DeSoto, Clyde (Linda) Womack of DeSoto, Andrew (Kelly) Womack of Festus, and two daughters Rebecca (Stacy) Decker of DeSoto, and June Decker of DeSoto; two sisters, Joyce Harbison of DeSoto and Lillie (Frank) Lawrence of Orange Park, Florida; fifteen grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends who mourn his passing. Dad loved spending time with his kids, especially his grandkids and great grandkids. As a young man, dad and his buddies were into stock car racing. Mom always said they spent all week working on the car to race it on Friday night and then spend Saturday doing the same thing all over again. Dad loved reading and spent many hours reading books, the local newspaper as well as The Current Local, and anything about farming. Sunday afternoon was reserved for football. Summers were split between hayfields, camping, boating, family 4th of July Bar-B-Q’s, traveling with his brother and sisters, and everyone was welcome to join in. His visitation will begin at 12pm, Saturday, November 15th for the public in the McSpadden Funeral Home in Van Buren with the funeral service following at 2:00pm. Brother Mark Olds will officiate. Burial will be in the Gresham Cemetery.
