For a number of years she worked for an insurance company in St. Louis. Shirley met Ben Thau in St. Louis, and they mere married Feb. 21. 1955. The couple moved to Lincoln in 1964. Shirley was formerly employed as an assistant director for Weight Loss Clinic, in marketing and sales for the Holiday Inn, and a store manage for H.G.I. Hospitality Inc., all in Lincoln. Member, American Legion Post 3 Auxiliary.
Services: 10 a.m. Friday, St. Andrew's Lutheran Church, 1015 Lancaster Lane. Entombment: Lincoln Memorial Park Mausoleum.
