Margaret married Brown Berry in 1907 in Wheeling.
Parents are Abraham Glasgow & Margaret Robinson both were born in Rixeyville, VA.
Margaret's son was the famous Leon "Chu" Berry a Jazz Musician. He played the saxophone. He could have become one of the most significant jazz saxophonists in the 20th century but he died from the results of his injuries from an auto accident taking members of the Cab Calloway Band to an engagement in Toronto, Ohio. He initially was buried in the Peninsula Cemetery in Wheeling, WV, but part of the Peninsula Cemetery was excavated to make room for the I-70 Wheeling Tunnel thoroughfare. It was believed he was reburied in the Mt. Zion in an unmarked grave, but I found his gravestone with his mother & father in the Greenwood Cemetery in Wheeling, WV. At this time Leon has two memorials one in the Peninsula and the other in Mt. Zion. I'm trying to get him reunited with his parents in Greenwood. Information about Leon was from his bio on his two memorials made by Warrick L. Barrett.
Margaret & her husband Brown Berry were first buried in the Peninsula Cemetery in Wheeling but later removed and taken to Greenwood Cemetery, Wheeling, WV.
Information from death record.
Informant was Mrs. Anne Campbell, Williamson, WV.
