Jewel Josephine Thomas Clark Turman, 93 of Pensacola died Tuesday, January 7, 1997.
Mrs. Tumnan was born in Dalton, Georgia and had resided in Pensa­cola since 1973. She was a mem­ber of the First Baptist Church and taught the Hope Sunday School Class for many years.
Mrs. Turman was active in her grandson,. Con­gressman Joe Scarborough's, first campaign for the House of Representatives.
Survivors include a son, William Thomas Clark and wife, Jean, of Columbus, Ohio; three daughters, Margaret C. Sutton and husband, William L, of Jacksonville, Fla., Car­olyn C. Hawkins and her late hus­band, Claude, and Mary Jo Scarbor­ough and husband, George F., all of Pensacola; a sister, Louise Miller, of Dalton, Ga.; thirteen grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 10a.m., Friday, January 10, 1997 at First Baptist Church with the Dr. James L. Pleitz officiating.
Entombment will be in the Cha­pel of Peace, Bayview Memorial Park.
BAYVIEW FISHER-POU CHA­PEL, 3351 Scenic Hwy., is in charge of arrangements.
Friends may call at the chapel from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.. Thursday.
