Manitou Beach: Kathleen V. Foss, age 76, of Manitou Beach, passed away in her sleep Saturday, March 2, 2002, at Bixby Medical Center after a short illiness. Kathleen embraced the Lord and her role as a follower of his word.
She was born October 19, 1925, the daughter of James Richard and Ennis Lee (Smith) Gullett. On May 2, 1964, she married Adam Foss in Detroit, Michigan and he survives. She was an especially caring and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Her entire life revolved around her family. She was employed at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit as a medical records surpervisor, retiring in 1980.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, Adam, are one son, David (Linda) Corder of Addison; one daughter, Jane Renae Marocco of Wyandotte, MI; one granddaughter, Jennifer E. Stelman; one grandson, John M. Stelman; an extended family member, Gary Spens of Wyandotte, MI; two brothers, Howard (Anne) Gullett, of Niagara Falls, NY and Tommy Gullett of Bluefield, WV; one sister, Willa Simmons of WV. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Buford and Don Gullett and two sisters, Margaret and Carol.
Funeral services for Kathleen will be held on Wednesday, March 6, 2002, at 11 a.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home with the Rev. Rob Corbin of the West Rome Baptist Church officiating. Cremation will follow the service.
Visitiation will be on Tuesday from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions in Kathleen's memory may be made to Feed Children in Tulsa, OK or to the West Rome Baptist Church. Envelopes will be available at the Anderson Funeral Home.
