LOUIS J. JIRIKOWIC

(1909 - 1991)

Louis J. Jirikowic, 82, of 2512 Hamilton Street, Manitowoc, died Thursday morning, April 4, 1991, at Holy Family Medical Center, Manitowoc.

Funeral services will be 9:30 a.m. Monday at Pfeffer Funeral Home and 10 a.m. at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Mass of Christian Burial will be officiated by Rev. Gerald Prusakowski O.F.M. with entombment to follow at Calvary Mausoleum, Manitowoc.

He was born January 2, 1909, in Manitowoc, Wis., son of the late Emil and Dora Wagner Jirkikowic. He was a graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School with the Class of 1927. He married the former Grace Brixius on July 4, 1931, in Manitowoc. The couple would have celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary this coming July. He was employed for 30 years with Busch Agricultural Resources Inc., retiring in 1974. He was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Aeries No. 706, charter member of Sea Gull Club of Manitowoc, Manitowoc Senior Center and Malster Union.

Survivors include his wife, Grace Jirikowic of Manitowoc; a son and daughter-in-law, Louis and Mary Jirikowic of Sheboygan; two daughters and sons-in-law, JoAnn and Mark Hannan of Miami, Fl., Janis and E. Forrest Clothier of Green Bay; five sisters and four brothers-in-law, Louise Jirikowic of Manitowoc, Dorothy and Karl Bull of Manitowoc, Grace and Charles Brockhausen of N.C., Elvi and Norbert Huebner of Manitowoc, Betty and Harlan Neff of Manitowoc; a brother, Edward Jirikowic of Manitowoc; nine grandchildren, Dr. Kathleen Hannan, Martin Hannan, Matthew Hannan, Elizabeth Ware, Michael Clothier, Steven Clothier, Robert Clothier, John Jirikowic and David Jirikowic; also surviving are two great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends survive. Louis will be missed by two brothers, two sisters, three sisters-in-law and a granddaughter.

2 MANITOWOC COUPLES WED AT WAUKEGAN

At a wedding service taking place in Waukegan, Ill., July 4, Miss Grace Brixius, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Brixius, 927 South Twenty-Third street, was married to Louis Jirikowic, son of Mr. and Mrs. Emil Jirikowic, 1201 Grand avenue.

They will reside in this city.
