Charles David Minor April 28, 1919 Chuck, 95,
of Woodburn, passed away after a short illness
with members of his family by his side. He was
predeceased by his wife of 67 years, Gertrude
(Trudi). He is survived by his sister Wilma
Hardin, his brother Dean, his sons Charles
(Carol) and Jerry (Evelyn) and his daughter Susan
Mueller (Michael). In addition, he is survived
by four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren:
Arthur (Stacia), Andrew (Cassie), Emily Jagielko
(Chris), Paul Mueller, Isabel Jagielko and Kaitlin Jagielko.After wartime service in the U.S. Marine
Corps, Chuck farmed and operated several farming
related businesses in Iowa. In 1959 he and Trudi
moved to California where he was employed variously
with the California Dept. of Corrections and in
property management. In 1980 they retired to
Woodburn where they were active members of the
Senior Estates community, where he served as
President of the Board, Panor Condominiums, Immanuel Lutheran Church and Cascade Park Retirement Community.
Chuck was kind and generous, enjoyed bridge and
cribbage, had fun baking and pie making, loved
tending his roses and repairing anything that
was broken. He was always ready to help if something
needed to be done.Memorial services to be arranged. Interment will be at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland.Memorial contributions may be made to the
