Kenneth Lee, son of George and Mary (Parry) Holloway, was born August 6, 1932, in Brunswick; he was one of six children.

On February 10, 1955, he married Marilyn Gable.

Ken served in the United States Air Force for 21 years retiring from active duty in 1973.

During his military service he was stationed in several states, Puerto Rico, Morocco and Labrador, Canada.

Following his military career he worked for Cattey Feed and Seed in Brookfield, retired from Wal-Mart in Brookfield, and drove a school bus for the Brookfield RIII School District.

He and Marilyn also ran a day care in their home for several years and continue to stay in touch with the children that they cared for and their families.

He enjoyed raising and riding Paso Fino horses as well as a team of draft horses that he drove in many local parades.

Whether it was participating in a horse show or taking children on a hayride he loved anything to do with horses.

In 1995 he and his wife's family restored the Plum Grove School, the one room schoolhouse Marilyn had attended as a child.

Ken took great pride in the upkeep of the school over the years and helping to host annual reunions.

He was a member of Freedom Baptist Church in Brookfield and American Legion Post 197 in Laclede.

Survivors include his wife, four children, ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; one brother, and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

His parents; one sister, Louise Clough; and three brothers, Eldon Holloway, Delbert Holloway, and Franklin Holloway preceded him in death.
