Dorothy Carnegie Rivkin, of Westbury, died on Aug. 6, 1998 at the age of 85 after a long illness. She was the chairman of the board of Dale Carnegie Training.
She was born in Tulsa, OK, where she spent her early life and attended the University of Oklahoma. She was married to Dale Carnegie, author of How To Win Friends and Influence People as well as founder of Dale Carnegie Training.

Arrangements were made by the McLaughlin Kramer Megiel Funeral Home, Glen Cove. Funeral service at the Episcopal Cathedral in Garden City. Interment Locust Valley Cemetery. Donations can be made to the Dorothy Carnegie Foundation, 1475 Franklin Ave., Garden City, NY 11530.
