McMINNVILLE — Funeral services for Judy Sells Hennessee, 67, of McMinnville, will be held at noon on Monday, Dec. 15, at Gardens of Memory Funeral Home in McMinnville. Interment will be in Sells Cemetery in the Independence community of Livingston, following services.
The family will receive friends from 3-8 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 14, and from 9 a.m. until time of services on Monday at the funeral home.
Judy Sells Hennessee passed away peacefully in her sleep, from this life, on Friday, Dec. 12, 2014, at Signature Health Care of Putnam County in Algood after a courageous 15 year fight with cancer. She won the race.
Judy was born Aug. 18, 1947, in Livingston to the late Fred Sells and Clara Bilbrey Sells.
Judy was a school counselor in the Warren County School System for 38 years. She was a graduate of David Lipscomb University where she earned her bachelor’s degree, and then attended Tennessee Technological University where she earned her master’s degree. She attended East End Church of Christ for 28 years, where she was greatly involved with her church family and loved them dearly. She loved all of her friends and extended family greatly and will be missed by all who knew her.
Mrs. Hennessee is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Demetria and Justin Pace of Cookeville; a brother, Danny and Wanda Sells of Manchester; her nephews, Josh and April Sells of Huntsville, Ala., and Jonathan Sells of Murfreesboro; her great-nephew, Luke Sells of Huntsville, Ala.; and her great-niece, Emma Sells of Huntsville, Ala.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
