William W. Keener, 68, of 56 West Lincoln St., Waynesburg, died at 12:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 3, 1970, in Greene County Memorial Hospital. He had not been in the best of health and had been seriously ill for the past several days.

He was born September 17, 1901, at Waynesburg, a son of Mems and Mary Braden Keener.

Mr. Keener was a lifelong resident of the Waynesburg area, and was affiliated with the Waynesburg Church of God. He was a retired construction foreman, and had been employed for several years by Roy Furman, a local contractor, and several other contractors.

Twice married, his first wife, Cecil Dukate Keener, died September 23, 1930. His second wife, Lillian Patterson Keener, whom he married December 9, 1937, survives.

Surviving in addition to his wife is one daughter, Mrs. Raymond (Louise) Hayes, of Washington. He was the last of his family, with one brother, Alva, deceased.
