MRS. ALEX SOWOKINOS PASSES AWAY AT BRULE
Word was received here of the sad death of Mrs. Verna Goodman Sowokinos, Saturday night, January 2nd after an illness of one year.
Verna Goodman was born in Sherman County in the year 1907 and passed away at her home in Brule, Nebraska, at the age of 24 years, 2 months and 8 days.
She was united in marriage to Alex Sowokinos January 15, 1925, and resided on a farm near Ashton, moving to Brule about a year ago.
Burial was made in the Catholic cemetery at Ogallala.
She leaves to mourn her death, her husband, one son Richard, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Anton Goodman of Loup City, three sisters, Mrs. Joe Orent of North Loup, Ona and Agnes of Loup City; three brothers, Frank of Brule, Bill of Grand Island and George of Loup City, and one nephew Bobby Goodman of Brule.
