Tom was the 5th child out of 10 children born in the small village of Taranta Peligna, Italy to Panfilo G. Natale & Elisabetta Madonna Natale. At the age of 16 he immigrated to America. He left Naples on Apr 25, 1903 on the ship Calabria and arrived in NY May 11, 1903. He traveled with his brother, Joe. They were sponsored by a family relative in New York. He only had $10 in his pocket.

I believe he was named after his grandfather Domenico, a shop keeper in Taranta Peligna.

After arriving at Ellis Island,he spent a short time in New York. Then he made his way to Seattle, Washington. Later, he married Christine Olson (from Sweden) on June 4, 1913. She was born Oct. 19, 1887 & died in 1968.

Tom was a superb tailor. He obtained the finest Italian silk and could make a man's suit to fit perfectly. He is shown in one in the photo.

He and Christine had one son, Irving. After Christine & Irving passed away, Tom went back to Taranta Peligna & lived in a hotel for awhile visiting family.

He passed away in Seattle at the age of 90.
