Lovina was born in Oct. 1830 in Fulton Co., NY and married Amos C. Cornwell, born in 1803 in CT. He was a farmer in Fulton Co. in 1850, 1855 and 1860, but I’ve been unable to find the family in 1870 to confirm he was still living. He was definitely deceased (burial unknown) by 1880 when Lovina was a widow living with son Alfred in Marion, IA. She moved with Alfred to Kansas City, KS by 1900. They had four children, all living in 1900 per the census.

In the census records I looked up, she was variously Lovina or Lovina. She and husband Amos C. Cornell had four children: Alfred H., Lucy E., Hannah or Hattie, and Amos.

She was a widow when she moved west from Fulton County, NY with son Alfred, first to Marion, Iowa by 1880 and then Kansas City, Kansas by 1900. Daughter Hattie moved to Chicago with her husband, and there is a death record for her naming her parents, Amos Cornwell and Lovina Bemus.
