He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Mildred Ruth Burton.

He is survived by his daughter,
Joyce (nee Burton) Walker of Las Vegas;

At the age of 19, H.E. bought his first business and grew it into a sizeable cookie and candy company.

At 30, he became a public servant and was elected to be the first mayor of Loves Park, Ill., providing oversight for a burgeoning community.

While continuing to expand his business endeavours in California, he received a calling to the ministry and served as an ordained reverend, helping to lead many to faith. In 1960, he moved to Las Vegas, where he worked in the field of death and dying supporting cemetery services, counselling and guiding those in need of comfort.

Through all of this, he was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather and maintained an unshakeable faith in God.

His faith became the foundation for his life and a legacy passed on to his family, friends and those who would encounter his infectious spirit for the Lord.

Services will be private.
