Gladys A Brady died peacefully at her home on Mercer Island on March 15, 2004 at the age of 85. Gladys faced Alzheimer's with a consistently positive nature.
She is remembered for her outgoing personality and joy of being with others, her love of traveling, particularly with her husband George and sister Mabel Wellington, and golfing with the Shriners.
She is survived by her three sons and their wives: George Jr. and Kirsten, Mace and Janet, and David and Karen. She was especially proud of her grandchildren, David Jr. (wife Jessica), Kelli, Timothy, Carolyn, Heidi (husband Ricky), and Jay, and six great grandchildren.
Born in Snohomish County on July 2, 1918, Gladys moved to Seattle and graduated from Broadway High School, Seattle, in 1936.
She married George on January 5, 1945. They first lived in Montlake but later settled in Woodinville, until George's retirement. They then moved to Edmonds, Washington. She was active with the Edmonds Methodist Church and local food bank.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a memorial donation to the Alzheimer's Association of Seattle.
