Army Capt. Clayton L. Adamkavicius, 43, of Fairdale, Ky.; died April 21, 2006 Serving During Operation Enduring Freedom. He was assigned to the 149th Brigade, 35th Infantry Division, Kentucky Army National Guard, Louisville, Ky.; died April 21 of injuries sustained from enemy small-arms fire during combat operations in Abu Ghurayb, Afghanistan. He is the eleventh Kentucky National Guard soldier to lose his life as the result of combat action in the global war on terror and the highest ranking. He is survived by his wife and father and a daughter who resides in Nevada. He was 43.
