He joined the US Air Force in 1948, serving for one year in Nome, Alaska, then went to New Mexico until his honorable discharge July 16, 1952. He was a Staff Sgt. with the military police at Roswell, NM.
He owned Rogers Cement Contractors.
He was a member of American Legion Post #72 in Crawfordsville.
He loved woodworking and genealogy, and he and Velma were huge fans of country singers Tom and Beverly Grant.

He will be cremated and a graveside service for Buster and Velma Rogers will be held at a later date. No visitation.
