Mildred B. Karman, age 92, a resident of Laurel Grove at Shady Lane Nursing Care Center, Manitowoc, entered into eternal life on Wednesday, June 2, 2010, at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center in Manitowoc.
Mildred was born on Feb. 4, 1918, in Manitowoc, to the late John and Anita Groelle Boeckman.
On Aug. 17, 1940, Mildred married Ludger J. Karman at St. Andrew Catholic Church in Manitowoc. Ludger preceded Mildred in death on March 8, 1999.
Mildred was a member of St. Francis of Assisi in Manitowoc.
Survivors include Mildred's five children: Ludger N. Karman, Jr., Jinny Kolar, Marion (Dennis) Denk, Rod (Kathleen) Karman, and Judy Seliger; 13 grandchildren: Alan King, Kristen McLaughlin, Mark and Kevin Kolar, Debbie and Lori Denk, Jenny Kanieski, Jeremy, Matthew, and Nathan Karman, essica Rottmann, Justine and L.J. Pairrett; 12 great grandchildren; two brothers: Kenneth (Lucille) Boeckman and Donald (Diane) Boeckman; four sisters: Margaret Bratz, Elda Fisher, Dorothy Halverson, and Joanne Parsley; also nieces, nephews, other relatives and many special friends. Mildred was preceded in death by her son, Jeffrey; two infant siblings: Fredrick and Bernice; three brothers: John, Robert, and Richard Boeckman; three sisters: Caroline Truttschel, Phyllis Boeckman, and Ethel Liermann.
The family will greet relatives and friends on Saturday, June 5, 2010, at St. Francis of Assisi on Grand, S. 14th St. and Grand Ave., Manitowoc from 10 a.m. until the beginning of the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. The Rev. Richard Klingeisen will officiate with entombment to follow at Knollwood Mausoleum.
The Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home and Crematory, N. 11th and St. Clair streets, Manitowoc, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
