Rosalie M. “Sally” Dins, age 93, of New Holstein, passed away Tuesday, December 23, 2014 with her husband and family at her side.
The former Rosalie Dedering was born March 28, 1921 in Manitowoc to the late Henry & Emma (Mahlich) Dedering.
Sally attended Meade Grade School and graduated from New Holstein High School with the class of 1939.
On April 12, 1945, she married Norman Dins at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in New Holstein.
Sally had worked at the former A. T. Hipke & Sons and then the Salvatorian Center in New Holstein until her retirement.
She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in New Holstein, Christian Women’s Society, and the New Holstein American Legion Auxiliary.
Sally enjoyed baking, especially with new recipes, and working with crafts.
Surviving Sally are her husband, Norman; three children, Gail Dins of Westminster, CO, Janelle (Tom) Teresinski of DeKalb, IL and Ronald (Debbie) Dins of New Holstein; five grandchildren, Jeff Teresinski, Julie Cordon Teresinski, Rachel Schroeder, Renee Schmitz, and Randy Dins; nine great-grandchildren; her brother, Alvin (Ethel) Dedering of Milwaukee; and three sisters-in-law, Faye Dedering of Sheboygan, Alice Dins of New Holstein, and Burnette Nisler of Mount Calvary. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
In addition to her parents, Henry & Emma Dedering, she was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Mary Patricia “Pat” Dins; three brothers, Raymond (Mary Ann) Dedering, Robert (Catherine) Dedering, and Walter Dedering; her sister, Loretta (Michael) Rozman; other brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 5:00 PM on Tuesday, December 30, 2014, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church 1724 Madison Street New Holstein, WI 53061. Rev. Harold Berryman will officiate with Deacon Pat Knier assisting. Entombment will be at the Knollwood Memorial Park Mausoleum in Manitowoc.
Family and friends may call at Holy Rosary Church on Tuesday, December 30th from 3:00 PM to 4:45 PM.
The New Holstein American Legion Auxiliary will conduct a brief service at 3:00 PM at the church.
