Martha Ann Gassaway, age 87, of Denison, TX, died at Crawford Street Place, Denison, TX on December 31, 2014. She was born on September 7, 1927 in Heavener, OK to Robert and Mayme Baucum Mobley. She married James Gassaway on January 27, 1945 who passed away in 1994. She was a homemaker and loved doing for her family. She especially loved cooking. She was an avid bird watcher, favoring blue birds. She moved to Grayson county from Monroe, OK, 14 years ago. She was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by her three children; Jim Gassaway, Denison, TX, Mindy Tayrien and Doug of Tulsa, OK. Cindy McDonald, Cedar Park, TX, seven grandchildren, Brittany, Kayla, Jenna, Carson, Michael, Kevin and Robbie, four great grandchildren; Rome, Cameron, Kawa and Jayden, several nieces and nephews and many friends.
Preceding her in death is her husband; James Moman Gassaway, parents; Robert and Mayme Mobley, sisters; Doris Edwards and Norma Krallman, brother; Robert Mobley Jr.
Graveside service will be Tuesday, January 6, 2014. 2:00 p.m. at Monroe Cemetery, Monroe , OK. Officiating will be Brother Bob Stevens.
