Sometime between 1935 and 1940 the family moved to Los Angeles, CA. In the 1940 census, his occupation was listed as Engineer, B.F. Goodrich Company. He registered for the WW II draft from Akron, OH, suggesting the move to California was considered temporary. It was not and he died in Los Angeles.
