Sarah Elizabeth "Betty" Simmons passed away Sunday night, January 11, 2015 with loving family members by her side. Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 15, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. with visiting hours one hour prior to service at Pintlala Baptist Church in Hope Hull. Ministers conducting the service will be Gary Burton, her brother-in-law Jack Cates, and her brother, Larry Brady. Burial will follow at the Brady Cemetery in Hope Hull with Gassett Funeral Home of Wetumpka directing.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Nathan Simmons, her parents Lewis Brady and Thelma Burke Brady, and one brother, James Lewis "Buddy" Brady.
She is survived by her two daughters, Tonya (E.O.) Bachelor and Liz Simmons (Laylon) Gardener. She also leaves behind nine sisters and brothers; Daisy Brady, June Brown, Patricia McCain, Verba Lee Ray, Larry Brady, Sandra Boddie, Sharon Cates, Allen Brady, Dianne Craig, one grandson, Jace Bachelor, two great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and many loving friends.
