William H. Allman, II, age 73, passed away, Saturday, April 13, 2013 at Grandstrand Regional Medical Center surrounded by family.

Mr. Allman was born August 13, 1939 in Clarksburg, West Virginia a son of the late William Hall and Gladys Bailey Allman. William was pre-deceased by a son, William H. Allman, III of Tabor City, NC.

Mr. Allman was a graduate of the Green-Briar Military Academy in Lewisburg, West Virginia, where he graduated as a Cadet Commander. He attended West Virginia University. William enlisted in the US Army in 1960 where he served four years upon completion of service Mr. Allman was a Sergeant and in charge if information for the Commanding Officer of Fort Gordon, Ga.After Military William chose a career in Broadcasting where he managed Radio Stations in Michigan, West Virginia, and North and South Carolina. His greatest passion was broadcasting sporting events for Myrtle Beach High School Athletics as well as Coastal Carolina University. Mr. Allman is the longest living lung reduction recipient which was performed at MUSC in October of 1999.

Mr. Allman is survived his wife of 51 years, Paula G. Allman of Myrtle Beach; one son: Paul C. Allman of Myrtle Beach; 3 grandchildren: William C. Allman, Paul C. Allman II, and Aubrey M. Allman all of Kernersville, NC; a brother and sister-in-law: Mr. and Mrs. David C. Allman of Bridgeport, West Virginia.

In Lieu of gifts the Allman family request that donations be made to the American Lung Association, 44-A, Markfield Dr, Charleston, SC. 21407. Memorial Services will be held at a later date.
