Television Director, Producer. During the course of his career, he earned numerous Emmy Awards and nominations for his producing of soap operas including "General Hospital," "The Days of Our Lives" and "The Young and the Restless." Born Harry Wesley Kenney, Jr., he served with the United States Navy during World War II and following his return home, he enrolled at Carnegie Institute of Technology in Pittsburgh, where he played football, while studying Drama. During the early years of television, Kenney benefited from the abundance of opportunity and initiated his directing career with episodes of the program "Rocky King, Detective" (1952 to 1954). Later in the decade, he contributed to Mike Wallace's interview formatted TV series "Night Beat." He may be best known for his directing of roughly two dozen episodes of the TV series "All in the Family." At the time of his death, he was married to actress Heather North.
