George Shoemaker
George Shoemaker died at the Leonard Hospital yesterday after a lingering illness. Born in Averill Park, he lived in Troy the greater part of his life. Mr Shoemaker was employed for 58 years as an accountant by Caldwell and Morse , merchant tailors. He was a member of the First Baptist Church. Surviving are his widow, the former Jennie Burdick; a daughter, Mrs Adrian Ouwerkerk, Los Angeles, Cal. and two brothers, Andrew Shoemaker and Michael Shoemaker, both of Troy. Also Surviving are six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Mr Shoemaker resided at 19 11th Street. He was the father of the late Earl A Shoemaker. The funeral will be held at 2:30 pm Wednesday from the First Baptist Church with Rev Richard Cummings officiating. Internment will take place in Oakwood Cemetery.
