The funeral of Mrs Jennie Shoemaker, 92, a resident of Troy for 80 years who died at Hawthorne, Calif, last Wednesday, was held today at 11 am with committal services in the family lot at Oakwood Cemetery. Rev Everett A Sherwood, pastor of the First Baptist Church, officiated.

Times Record, January 9, 1959 Former Troy woman, 92, Expires Mrs Jennie Shoemaker, 92, who had resided in Troy for 80 years, died Wednesday in Hawthorne, Calif., where she recently had been making her home with her daughter, Mrs Mabel Ouwerkerk. Born in New York, Mrs Shoemaker was the widow of George Shoemaker, who once operated an exclusive tailor shop in Troy. She was a member of the First Baptist Church. In addition to her daughter, she is survived by six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Committal services will be held at 11 am Monday in the family plot in Oakwood Cemetery with Rev Everett A Sherwood, pastor of the First Baptist Church, officiating
