He was called Tommy by family members and he is survived by his close family, his parents and his younger brother Robert Daniel Belt. He is also survived by his paternal grandparents William Daniel Belt, and Mary Horsley “Mamie” Jones Belt who were divorced. He is survived by many loving cousins and aunts and uncles.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents John Kurz and Katheryn Christine Stanger Kurz.
He died in a tragic drowning on February 1, 1941 just shy of his 11th birthday.
