Born in Hagersville, she was the daughter of the late Charles U. and Anna (Roudenbush) Gabel.
She was a 1943 graduate of Sell-Perk High School, Perkasie. Mrs. Snyder was a homemaker.
She was a member of Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church, Hagersville, where she taught Sunday School for 35 Years.
She enjoyed birds and flowers and especially loved her grandchildren and twin great grandsons, Benjamin and Jacob.
Surviving with her husband are two sons, Dr. Larry H. Snyder and his wife Sharon J., of Perkasie and James S. Snyder and his wife Colleen, of Blacksburg, VA; three grandchildren, L. Scott Snyder and his wife Jennifer, Tiffany L. Snyder and Kevin Snyder; twin great grandsons, Benjamin and Jacob Snyder; a sister, Dorothy Stoneback and her husband Richard, of Quakertown and a brother, Milton Gable, of Quakertown.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, Steven Snyder, three brothers, Howard Russell, Robert and Paul Gabel and two sisters, Mildred Fisher and Grace Rogers.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, May 25, 2010 at the Bernard Suess Funeral Home, 606 Arch Street, Perkasie, PA, where friends may call from 9:30 to 11:00 AM. Interment will be in Hilltown Cemetery, Hilltown, PA. www.suessfuneralhome.net
