Nathalie Gayer (nee Ferguson) was born March 1, 1869 in Greenville, Mississippi, one of 5 children of Civil War Confederate Brigadier General Samuel Wragg Ferguson and Catherine Sarah "Kate" Lee. She died Feb 19, 1940 in Bridgeport, Connecticut at age 70. Her husband, William Charles (Carl) Gayer was born Dec 19, 1870 in Akron, Ohio the son of Jacob Martin Gayer and Fredricka C. Mayer. He died March 6, 1950 in St Petersburg, Florida at age 79, a resident of 8612 Carnegie, Cleveland; buried in Knollwood Cemetery, Cleveland. They married June 3, 1902 in Washington DC.

She died as Mrs Asher, Oct. 12, 1994 in San Diego, CA at age 91, buried in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Radium, Kansas
