She died Feb 19, 1940 in Bridgeport, Connecticut at age 70. Her husband, William Charles (Carl) Gayer was born Dec 19, 1870 in Akron, Ohio the son of Jacob Martin Gayer and Fredricka C. Mayer. He died March 6, 1950 in St Petersburg, Florida at age 79, a resident of 8612 Carnegie, Cleveland; buried in Knollwood Cemetery, Cleveland. They married June 3, 1902 in Washington DC.
