Deaths.

Abernathy - Tuesday Oct. 17, 1905, at 3:20 a.m., at her home in the south part of Severy, Mrs. Alice Abernathy, aged 60 years, 5 months and 15 days.

The deceased was born May 2, 1845, at Bronson, Michigan, where she remained with her parents while a girl. Was married to N.E. Abernathy at Pottsdam, N.Y., March 25, 1875. Mr. and Mrs. Abernathy removed from Madrid, N.Y., to Kansas in the spring of 1885, settling on the farm north of Severy about two miles. About ten or twelve years ago they moved to Severy where they started in the photography business, selling out a few years ago. Mrs. Abernathy leaves a husband, two brothers, M. Guy Pierce, of Gilburne, Wis., and C.H. Pierce, of Eureka, Calif., and one sister, Mrs. B.N. Stone, of Bronson, Mich. She has been suffering some time with acute Brights disease which caused her death.

Funeral services will be held at the M.E. church this afternoon at 2 o'clock, Rev. Everett, of the Congregational church preaching the funeral sermon. Interment will be in Twin Groves cemetery.

Mr. Abernathy has the heartfelt sympathy of all in his great loss.
